‘SPIRITUAL BEINGS ON A HUMAN JOURNEY’, AN EVENING AT ST. JOSEPH’S CHURCH

Join usThursday 6th October at St. Joseph’s Church in Wilton, for an evening facilitated by Father Donal Neary SJ in aid of The Hope Foundation,as we discover what it means to be spiritual beings, on a human journey.  Fr. Neary will discuss how all our work affects us deeply and will place a particular focus on his work in Kolkata, and of course, the experiences of others in Kolkata too.

Father Neary is the editor of Messenger Magazine, has travelled to Kolkata India, as well as to Darjeeling and Asamm, with Irish students volunteering through programmeswith their schools and colleges.

Following the talk, the lucky audience will be treated to a performance by the stunning soprano, Laura Yanez.  Laura, original from the States and now settled in Cork, has been performing for global audiences for over a decade and was lead vocalist in Riverdance for many years – a real pleasure for guests in this perfect venue.

Tickets are just €15 and can be bought online through the HOPE shop www.hopefoundation.ie/shop  or call HOPE’s Office on Tel: 021 4292990

NOTES TO EDITOR

Over 250,000 children go to sleep each night on the street and in the slums of Kolkata (Calcutta), hungry and without proper shelter or protection.  Over the last 16 years, The Hope Foundation has continuously worked to raise funds to support over 60 on the ground projects, helping to lift Kolkata’s most vulnerable children out of poverty, cruelty and destitution. HOPE engages with these children, and their communities, via child protection programmes, education, nutrition, drugs rehabilitation, life skills and vocational training centres.

The Hope Foundation is a registered Irish charity (CHY 13237) and is governed by the Dóchas Code of Corporate Governance. The HOPE Honorary Director, Maureen Forrest, does not take a salary.
