Red Wednesday is a project initiated by “Aid to the Church in Need”. This is an organization that highlights the extent of persecution of Christians throughout the world. Their report of 2025, which can be read at the back of the church or in the parish center, highlights the shocking extent of persecution being inflicted on Christians throughout the world. The report makes clear that there is an enormous amount of persecution being inflicted on Christians in Africa and especially in countries where the SMA Fathers are working. So not only are we highlighting the challenge of Red Wednesday but we are also going to nominate our Christmas charity appeal for 2025 to go towards the work of “Aid to the Church in Need”.
