Continuing support for Gaza:

It’s encouraging to see how members continue to express their support for the plight of the people of Gaza. In the back wall of the Church people continue to make contributions.  It’s good to be able to announce that we are forwarding another cheque for €1,000 to Trócaire for this cause. I wish to share a note from Caoimhe deBarra, Trócaire, to the parish.

Dear Fr Michael,

Caritas Jerusalem has informed us that they had to suspend operations since the bombing resumed as bombs are falling anywhere right now. The Wilton parish’s contributions have already been included in a grant to Caritas Jerusalem, and they had started to use these funds. Our next grant is going to be to Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) for medical supplies and equipment, once the Israeli blockade on the strip is lifted.  Support continues to be much needed.

Thanks, Fr. Michael, for everything you have done to support the Palestinians at this desperate time.
